Providing universal access to ultrasound

Remote Robotic Ultrasound

We’re commercialising robotic-enabled technology to provide rural and remote communities with access to comprehensive diagnostic ultrasound, and eliminate repetitive strain injuries for sonographers.

Problems We Solve

1 million+

ultrasounds are severely delayed in Australia each year

or not performed at all for regional and remote patients

90%

of sonographers experience pain

for over half their career with 20% suffering career-ending injuries

Our Technology

Our patented robotic system is controlled remotely and performs comprehensive ultrasound, including the most complex modalities such as echocardiograms (ultrasounds of the heart).

This provides remote communities access to ultrasounds and heavily reduces the risk of physical injury to the sonographer.

24-48hr service for rural patients
(currently 100+ days waiting time)

Earlier detection for chronic ailments like heart disease

No repetitive strain injuries for sonographers

Why Ultrasound is Important

More than 11 million ultrasounds are performed in Australia each year, and are often a patient’s first diagnostic imaging exam. Ultrasounds are low cost, used to examine almost any part of the body and are one of the most important tools for identifying and managing cardiovascular disease.

Cardiovascular Disease (CVD)

CVD is one of Australia’s leading causes of death, with one Australian dying every 12 minutes.

It is a substantial problem for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, accounting for a quarter of all deaths and is the largest contributor to preventable morbidity and mortality.

75% of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults aged under 35 have one or more risk factors for CVD.
